The club has an interesting history in the world of cricket- it was here that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was formed. Post Independence cricket administrators gathered in front of an old fireplace and bowed the seeds of the Indian cricket body- BCCI subsequently. Famous Cricketers, including Jack Hobbs, Herbert Sutcliffe and Frank Worrell, and personalities like Richard Attenborough and the Mountbattens, had walked on the rich turf of the club.
The Roshanara Club, having the first cricket pitch, is among the few centers where domestic cricket matches take place in the aura of the old-world. A trophy showcase loop in the lobby of the club gives an idea of Cricket Museum.Our club is one of the most famous cricket clubs in India, which offers some of the best coaching facilities to the budding cricketers from all over the world. We aim at providing the best infrastructure and coaching facility to the budding cricketers. They are kept under guidance of expert coaches and matches are organized in order to gauge the skills of the budding players.
There are expert and eminent coaches who are there to guide the aspiring cricketers. The Club has a large sports field, with flood lights, perfect for organizing the cricket tournaments.
